Your Aadhaar image never leaves your device
The cropping and resizing tool on this site is built entirely with client-side JavaScript, using the browser's Canvas API to read, crop, compress, and export your image file. This site does not have a server-side endpoint that accepts image uploads, so there is nowhere for your Aadhaar image to be sent even if the site wanted to send it. You can verify this yourself by opening your browser's developer tools, going to the Network tab, and watching for requests while you use the tool: you'll see none carrying your image.
What this site does not do
- It does not upload, store, or transmit the image you crop, under any circumstances.
- It does not require an account, login, phone number, or email address to use the tool.
- It does not load the crop tool itself from a third-party server; the code that powers it is bundled into the site at build time, not fetched from a CDN when you visit.
- Nothing described in the Analytics section below, or anywhere else on this site, ever has access to the image you crop. That image is processed entirely inside your browser's memory and is never included in any network request this site makes.
Standard hosting logs
This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like almost any website, the hosting infrastructure records standard request-level information for every visit, such as IP address, browser user agent, requested page, and timestamp, as part of normal web server operation and to protect against abuse. This is infrastructure-level logging done by Cloudflare, not application-level tracking added by this site, and it does not include the contents of any image you crop, since that never leaves your browser in the first place.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful and how visitors find them. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and collects standard traffic data: pages visited, time on page, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser type, and the site or search engine that referred you. It runs as a separate script from the crop tool and has no code path into the tool's image-handling logic, so it cannot see, receive, or log the image you crop, in the same way no part of this site can, as described above.
Google's own use of this data is governed by its privacy policy, not this one. See Google's Privacy Policy and, if you'd rather not be tracked this way, a browser extension or built-in tracking-protection setting that blocks Google Analytics will stop it without affecting the crop tool, which works entirely offline once the page has loaded.
Third-party links
Guide pages on this site may reference external exam boards, government portals, or notifications for context. This policy covers only this site; once you follow a link elsewhere, that destination's own privacy practices apply.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that affects how the site handles data, the "last updated" date at the top of this page will change to reflect it.
